In the 2019 edition of the Porto Tango Flow, Fado will come up on stage by the hand of Patrícia Costa, a Fado singer who is already a reference in the city.

Patrícia Costa lives in Porto, and performs daily in the Fado house "O Fado". She assumes herself as a traditional Fado singer, bringing to her concerts constant evocations of the particular aesthetics of this musical genre.

 

Based on the more pure Fado, sometimes recreating great classics, in others dressing older melodies with new poems, in her repertoire we can also find new fados - whose strong  defined character make us feel that we have known them for a long time - and also a passion from her natural birth place Minho, Folklore.

The most captivating discovery of this wreath is, however, the original repertoire dedicated to Porto, that the singer has been amplifying in the last years with the contributes of Pedro Fernandes Martins, Luca Argel or Eugénia Soares Lopes, where it can be highlighted one that is a love letter to one of the most bucolic nooks and crannies of this city: the Fado da Cantareira.

 

In Concert, we are transported to this more loyal and traditional universe of Fado. Sobriety, style, authenticity, and above else, lots of emotion, will be the brand that the audience will remind of this shared experience.

 

On stage, Patrícia will accompanied by with Pedro Martins (on portuguese Guitar),  João Moutinho (fado viola) and Luís Lumini (acoustic bass).
