João Gentil is and accordion player that has changed the image of the accordion in our mindset, transforming into a sweet, sentimental instrument and capable of expressing a chilling melodic beauty from inside.

Possesses a vast curriculum and participations with renowned national and international musicians as Viviane, Uxía, Rui Veloso, Brigada Vitor Jara and António Zambujo.
In its path, highlight goes to his several tours in Argentina, country for which he nourishes  a special passion and is one of the major sources of his musical influences.

 

He will be accompanied by Franco Chirife, argentinian pianist with classical training that has been living in Portugal for the 20 years now.
During his musical path, he had very exriching experiences playing with renowned artists like Waldemar Bastos, Mário Lúcio and musicians of diverse musical styles from Jazz to Fado, from Pop to African music.
Composer, arranger and producer of music, he defines himself as an eclectic musician, where is main source of inspiration is the multiculturalism.


Together, they present an musical menu that promises to unite their combined influences from Portugal and Argentina, at the command from the piano, the accordion and the most charismatic instrument from Buenos Aires: the Bandoneon.

A journey that promises an eclectic repertoire of sweet melodies with some original compositions in symbiosis with other revisited musical arrangements.
